A good practice to follow when using WordPress is to have a backup of your site. WordPress and the various plugins that you may be using within WordPress are constantly updating their programs so it is always a good rule of thumb to back up your site.
We recently found a really useful plugin for backups called Updraft Plus. Updraft Plus provides backup utilities to providers such as Dropbox, Google Drive, Rackspace Cloud, DreamObjects, FTP, Openstack Swift, UpdraftPlus Vault and email. Their paid version backs up to Microsoft OneDrive, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Storage, SFTP, SCP, and WebDAV.
